The Son of God and the Child of God The Son of God longs to be Lord of the life of every child of God. Christians think of him chiefly as Savior and Redeemer and so he is, but he is also Lord. The apostle Paul’s burden for the Roman Christians was that they would take self off the throne of their lives and reserve that position for Christ (Rom. 6:11–23).
